Global Product Sourcing
Global product sourcing is the work of identifying manufacturers or suppliers, comparing specifications and quotations, and coordinating the discussion. A search is an effort, not a guarantee that a suitable source exists.
What Meridian intends to do
- Turn a buying need into a requirement a supplier can answer.
- Look for manufacturers or trading partners whose stated scope matches that requirement.
- Compare responses on specification, documents, commercial terms, and stated capacity — not on a score Meridian invents.
Scope of the conversation
- Supplier identification inside categories the company is willing to discuss.
- Side-by-side questions so quotations are answering the same brief.
- Coordination of follow-up where both sides wish to continue.
What helps a review
- A specification that is as complete as you can make it. Gaps should be labeled as gaps.
- Target quantity and unit, and a destination.
- Must-have documents versus documents you can review later.
- What would cause you to decline a supplier, so time is not spent on a mismatch.
What this page does not promise
- Meridian does not claim an existing supplier network.
- A sourcing enquiry may end without a supplier being proposed.
- Samples, audits, and laboratory tests are arrangements between the relevant parties. They are not included merely because a form was submitted.
Describe the requirement.
A clear product, quantity, and destination makes a review possible. It does not reserve goods.
