Who we are
Meridian Global Exports LLC is the business responsible for this website. Contact enquiries@meridian-exports.com. A postal address will be added here when one is confirmed for publication.
What we collect
If you submit an enquiry, buyer form, supplier application, or contact message, we collect the details you enter: company name, contact name, email, telephone if you provide it, country, the commercial information in the form, and your consent. We also store the time of the submission, a reference number, and the IP address used to send it, so we can limit abuse.
If document upload is enabled and you attach a file, we store that file in a private location. Upload is off unless the site operator turns it on. Do not send payment card numbers. The forms are not designed to collect them, and we do not want them.
If analytics are enabled with a measurement ID the operator adds, the analytics provider may collect device and page data as described in that provider’s own terms. No analytics ID is installed in the published code by default. The site does not require an account cookie to read the pages. The cookie notice lists what may be stored in the browser, and what is form data instead.
Technical logs on the host may include the address of a page, the time, and a browser identifier. Those logs are for security and operation.
Why we use it
- To review and reply to an enquiry, if a reply is appropriate.
- To keep a record of what was asked and what was answered.
- To protect the site from spam and repeated submissions.
- To understand, if analytics are later enabled, which pages are used.
The consent checkbox is the basis for reviewing the enquiry you chose to send. Operation and security of the site are handled as legitimate interests where that concept applies. We do not sell personal information.
Who else sees it
The site is hosted on Vercel. If email delivery is configured, enquiry content is sent through Resend, or through another HTTPS endpoint the operator configures, to the company’s enquiry mailbox. Those providers process the information to deliver the message. We do not send enquiry content to advertisers.
People who need the information to review a commercial conversation — for example a colleague at Meridian — may see it. We do not publish supplier applications or buyer requirements on the website.
Retention
The intended practice is to keep enquiry records for up to 24 months after the last communication about that enquiry, and longer if a commercial relationship continues or if a law, dispute, or accounting rule requires it. A local development log is a file on the machine running the site and should not be treated as the production record. The operator should confirm this period with counsel and delete records when the period ends.
International transfers
Hosting and email providers may process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. If you write from outside the United States, you are sending the information to a United States company.
Your requests
You may ask for a copy of the enquiry information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email enquiries@meridian-exports.com and include the enquiry reference if you have one. We will respond within a reasonable time. You may also have rights under the law of your place of residence, including, where applicable, the right to complain to a regulator.
Security
Enquiries are validated on the server, rate limited, and not written into the public website. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please do not send secrets, card numbers, or passwords through the form.
Children
This website is for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. A change to the policy does not change an enquiry you have already sent, except where the law allows the new practice.
